Solidarity tax credit

Available only to Quebec residents.

As of July 2011, Revenu Québec will pay eligible taxpayers the new refundable solidarity tax credit. This credit will replace the Quebec Sales Tax (QST), property tax refund and credit for individuals living in northern villages.

This new tax credit will be paid once a month.

To claim the solidarity tax credit, you must:
be 18 or over
be a Quebec resident
have legal status (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, refugee, etc.)
not be confined to a prison or penitentiary
To receive the payments

You must register for direct deposit with Revenu Québec.

There are 3 ways to sign up for direct deposit:
Register for direct deposit on AccèsD.
You must be a Desjardins caisse member or VISA Desjardins cardholder to use AccèsD. Register for AccèsD
Fill out the form (PDF), print a copy and mail it to Revenu Québec.
Visit your caisse. A reception agent will help you fill out the form.
